HOT TIP #1
How to install the Aluratek Frametime app to work with my PicStick?
You've purchased the PicStick and you have a question about the Frametime app that you are being asked to install to your smartphone. You're wondering, what is the Frametime app or why do I need it? This Hot Tip will hopefully clear up any questions that you might have about the Frametime app.
First, what is the Frametime app? The Frametime app is the interface that you will use to upload imagery and video from your phone to your PicStick. Without the Frametime app, it will not be possible to load content from your smartphone to your PicStick. Be sure to download the Frametime App onto your smartphone from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
Once the Frametime app has been installed onto your phone and you have created an account, you will need to set-up the app and pair it with your PicStick. This is Step 5 in your user manual. If you've closed the Frametime app, reopen the app. Click "Add Device" and then select "Scan".
At this point you are ready to scan the QR code that is shown on your TV. Once scanned, you can then name your PicStick and then select Done. This is the final step to connect the Frametime app on your smartphone to your PicStick.
From this point, you'll use your phone to select photos and videos to copy to your PicStick. Once your content has been copied to the PicStick, you'll put down the phone and assume operations with the provided controller.
