True Digital LCD Panels for Clearer Pictures
What does it mean to use a true digital LCD panel in an Aluratek digital frame? It means that all of your pictures will be noticeably clearer and much crisper than others that have decided to use analog panels as cost-cutting measures. The advantage of utilizing digital panels over analog panels is very similar to the difference in watching HDTV (High Definition Television) instead of standard definition TV. It makes a big difference to watch in crisp clear HD as all the vibrant colors and intricate details will be noticeably better. Your photos will be beautifully displayed at 800 x 600 resolution on the 8" TFT true color LCD screen.

Slideshow Support
Aluratek's 8" digital photo frame will allow you to set-up photo slideshows. Slideshows can be configured to play photos in various display and transition modes. Photos will be automatically resized to fit the LCD screen perfectly in a 4:3 aspect ratio and photos will be rotated to their proper orientation automatically.

Customer Reviews

8 inch Digital Photo Frame with Auto Slideshow Feature is rated 4.2222 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok for the price Portrait orientation (versus landscape orientation) photos are displayed correctly. I have some cheap frames that cut the bottom part of the photo off. Brightness is adequate. Color quality is ok. Dynamic range is not as good as more expensive frames. YGWYPF. The stand "arm" screws in. This is nice and solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Gift Ever The screen is nice and pictures look really good on this thing. The price was very reasonable as well. It makes for a great gift too. The cord is really long to plug into the wall and have it sit anywhere on your desk. I got this for my girlfriend for work. The only thing is that the picture frame does not come with a USB stick. It should come with it. The 3 buttons on the back make it great for easy navigation. The photos can be customized on a slide show and have different timing to switch between another photo and have different animations when switching photos. There is a built in calendar and clock. And you can even set up the device to only turn on during work hours and turn off when you leave. Without having to touch the thing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, But Slow It’s a good product. It can be placed everywhere and looks good and calls the attention, but when you try to configure it, it’s kind of slow and has such a few memory. And another thing, it doesn’t accepts all kind of flash drives, because I had to buy another one with more GB to make it work. It’s an acceptable product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value For The Price This is a great digital frame for the price. This image is vibrant and clear but you must have an external storage; an SD card or a Flash Drive. I do wish that this product had internal storage. That would be wonderful. The frame must also be plugged in to be powered on. I'd much rather have bought a frame that was battery powered. This was a gift for my mother on Mother's Day. I know she will love it but I know it could have been better. The controls are very easy to manage and the directions are very simple to understand. Anyone could read and set this digital frame up. The frame was packaged very well. Everything was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! Great gift! I just plugged in a flash drive and the frame instantly started playing a slide show. It is so easy to use and is great looking. I bought this as a gift for someone who is NOT tech savvy at all, and even she can use it. This really makes a great gift. I did a bit of research before purchasing and decided on this one, so glad I did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! Received as a gift from my son for Christmas. Great digital photo frame, can use my memory stick 8 gb and have hours of endless photographs! Well done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent value for the price, check Amazon, a terrific little frame, a lot of 8" frames, such as philips, have a huge border around the picture, takes away from the pictures themselves. This is a perfect size, easy to use, slideshow options, very good picture quality. Definitely buying a few more as gifts and probably a couple more for myself :0}

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Other photo frames are better This is an O.K. frame. My biggest gripe is that if you set it up to turn on automatically at a certain time, you still have to go push a button to start the photo slide show since it turns on and goes to the menu automatically... what's the point? If I have to go push some buttons anyway, pushing the power button first isn't that much more work. Would rather have a frame that turned on and started displaying photos automatically.... Better framers are out there...

Mine will not rotate the portrait photos.  It shows them all in landscape orientation.  What is the secret?

On our 8" digital frame, using slideshow, what sequence do the photos display if not using RANDOM? It is not alphabetic order, or the order they were taken. It seems to complete a folder in whatever sequence before moving to the next folder.

Asked by: Bill
The ADPF08SF plays the slideshow in numeric order.

I have one picture that should be portrait and it is landscape on the photo frame. I keep rotating it but when it runs through the cycle again it is back to landscape. How do I keep it rotated to portrait. I have deleted it & downloaded it twice.

Asked by: Lil Berry
Take the photo on 4:3 aspect ratio to see if it is displayed properly.

What should you do if u get videos on a Mac computer and it says that the file will not support?

Asked by: Jshshbcnsl
You ill need to convert the video. For best results, the recommended filetype for playing videos on the frame is the .avi video filetype with the XVID video codec and the MP3 audio codec. The recommended dimensions are 720x576. The recommended framerate is 24fps or less.

I have a 16 GB SD card in the frame with all JPEG format pictures.  It is displaying only a minority of the pictures in slideshow.  I have tried to clear and reload the pictures.  Also most won't transition, just a loading symbol in middle of pics

Asked by: MoJo
You might be experiencing a compression issue. Try resaving you photos as baseline JPEGs to see if the frame displays them.
